Misplaced Dream

There once was a dream

it was happy and free

it was glowing with yellow and green

then the dreamer got busy

life took control

the dream tried to hang on

but had no where to go

the dream was put away on a shelf in a box

then the dreamer quit dreaming

and grew very gray

just moving about from day to day

then the dreamer remembered

the box was still there

she opened it and colors filled the air

she vowed to the dream it would come true

as she spoke she saw sparkles of yellow and blue

Christy, once again you have beautifully expressed through poetry and paint what so many of us feel. Fortunately, there is a happy ending and we are encouraged-i know i am anyway! Keep up the good work and i hope to have some artwork of my own to share real soon-thanks for helping me to remember my dreams too!! Love,Charis

Thank you friends. I am trying to paint what I see and this one is very close to what I was feeling. If that makes any sense.....

Keep dreamin girl!

Well said...and well painted. Your poems always make the paintings come alive. You never have to guess what the arist is thinking.

Thanks for sharing...Love,
