For A Moment
I love to support writing by young writers. This is by my 17 year old friend LB Harbin...LOVE it.
For a moment
We have eyes yet don't see
Ears yet don't listen
Be still for a moment Look and see
Hear and listen
Be still for a moment
See the critters crawl And the creatures lurk the earth
The birds sing in the trees and soar the sky
The fish that swim the great blue
Witness their beauty and glory
Hear the song they each sing
Unique to their own identity
All so beautiful Yet not fully yet
They await something more...themselves to be restored
Unveiled for the original glory they were created
for Human kind,
look around As high as the tallest canopy of a tree
As far as the horizon of the sky
As deep as the ocean deep
Look and see
Hear and listen
Be still for a moment
Watch the clouds form
As they come an go
Feel the wind brush across your skin
Taste the sweetness of a honeysuckle
Smell the blossoms of flowers in a field
Hear the flutter of a butterfly
But you have to be still for a moment
Notice the value in each moment you live
Each breath you breathe in Grace abounds, it's all around Each human like the rest of creation...beautiful
Each singing their own song Unique to their own identity
Glorious yet not fully
yet Each awaiting restoration to be fully alive
If only we be still for a moment And see and listen to the beauty and glory of life
Grace abounds it's all around
Look and see Hear and listen
Be still for a moment You're created for something more

Summer
Happy Day!
I am so enjoying this summer with our girls! Fun stuff. They keep me laughing.
I'm going to try to start posting some of the funny things that happen around here.
My youngest Cara, has a new name and it is, Lady Godiva. Since we have our above ground pool up, she is in and out of the water all day. She just doesn't see the need for clothing while she is inside, if she is going back outside. It is a funny sight and I have to step in and make her put on clothes.
I raised them to not be self concious about their bodies. I did this on purpose and now I realize I may have tried a little too hard
