Painting with Cara

I've been watching Cara watercolor today. I love how kids paint what the want to paint and do not worry about how people view it. I think I struggle with painting because I want it to look "pleasing" to others. I'm going to try to start being creative without trying to please. Creativity can get stifled when we try to make it popular.

Also, yesterday was my mother's 84th birthday! Yay!

Creativity

It creeps up on me from behind

I try to search try to find

then, I get the picture in my mind

and I know who the creeper is

CREATIVITY

This is how it works for me, when I paint. I need to start a painting soon, I've got lots of mind pictures waiting to come to life!

Sharing Gifts and Spreading Hope

Dream big

always

we are never too old

there is always someone

who needs inspiration

there is always something

we can do to help inspire

we all have different gifts

different shapes

different colors

but

all are needed

God is the most creative of all

and

in turn he created us

to be creative

and to spread

hope

I am so blessed and so very thankful....that is how I am feeling right now. :)

Time to Let Go of Self Doubt

Sometimes you have to make a decision
and have faith in yourself to
follow through with the dream...
no time for self doubt just
pray and go for it....
what do you have to lose?

Outside the Box

Sometimes, it feels

like there is nothing

that can help

one to get out of

the box

there seems to

be walls on

all sides

but

there is hope

if one can learn

to think

in ways that

aren't so common

using God

given creativity

My First Painting

This was my first "real" painting. I painted it for someone who has very cool personal colors...it is funny, I really thought I wouldn't get past doing "aura" paintings. I see the colors in my my mind and with my eyes so I thought it would be a nice gift for those who understand me and I wouldn't have to really grow the talent.
My friend actually liked my little painting (years of lousy self esteem, so I thought she wouldn't like it) and shared it with others. My little seed of confidence began to grow just enough for me to start this blog and for me to keep painting. Then, I got the courage to try a few new things....once they turned out okay, the fear started to leave. Now, I am not scared to try new things even if I don't think I am good enough, I will try. :)
It only takes one person to plant the seed of creativity in someone else and then they can plant it in someone else too.
Please encourage someone to be creative today!!

New Blog

Truthfully, I have several blogs. I have www.babysoup.us where I write about my life and things that God has shown me along the way.
I also have www.pinksquaresonabridge.wordpress.com . That is my poetry blog. I don't know if anyone can understand my poetry but it helps me to write it.
I just wanted to share some encouraging thoughts, stories, people, and anything else encouraging on this blog.
