Outside the Box

Sometimes, it feels

like there is nothing

that can help

one to get out of

the box

there seems to

be walls on

all sides

but

there is hope

if one can learn

to think

in ways that

aren't so common

using God

given creativity

Calmness and the Cape

it drapes over my shoulders like a cape

a layer of calmness

but it is not peaceful

what is it

maybe a few times

a week it visits me

a cape of introspection

it is colored in various

colors

it makes me feel

kind of

lonely

Thinking vs Feeling

Sometimes it is not easy

learning to think a new way

because the feeling might

come before the thinking

then you have to really

think about why you

ever thought the other

way in the first place...
