Counting Blessings in Each Season

It is gray and snowy here.
Making us yearn for spring,
yet,
also making us want to hold on
to winter because the snow
is so peaceful

As we walk along, things happen
not always what we have planned
but
through the disappointment
the real plan will emerge
in all its brilliant color
when you are disappointed,
look for the rainbow and
the path will be just around the corner

Thanks God for always pointing out the paths of our hearts!

New Day

It is so funny how life continually gives us new perspectives, new starts.

God teaches us daily and is gracious enough to give us all time to use the changes in our lives.

If you are feeling alone today, please remember tomorrow is a new day. We are not alone, we have God and he gives us angels in our lives daily. Cherish the moments......

Stepping Out in Faith

sometimes, it is best just to step out in faith

trust in the good that comes to us

when we are able to use the gifts God

has given us

sometimes, we have to step out in faith

I am praying for the tsunami not to hurt anyone and I am praying for Chile.

Kinda Strange

I really thought I was over caring what others think of me

I thought I was confident in who I am and how God made me

I have never said I thought I was a good artist

I have never said my paintings were great

I paint from the heart

I paint what I see

sometimes just a message for someone

that comes to me

sometimes a painting to cheer a friend

So

today I met my dad for lunch

he said "what have you been doing"

and I said " painting " because

I was painting a peice of furniture for

the girls

not even a painting but he assumed...

He said "that is not really your thing"

I said "have you seen my paintings"

he said "yes on the internet"...

I thought I was wayyyy past

having my feelings hurt

but my feelings are hurt

I have been thinking all night

that maybe I shouldn't

burden anyone else with my

paintings since they suck....

hmmmmmm

Follow Dreams

I painted this angel for Cara's kindergarten teacher Joye Weaver. This is her last year to teach Kindergarten. After 40 years of teaching, Mrs. Weaver is going to open up her own Montessori School. It has been a dream of hers for years.

What a great example she is for us!!! She is in her early 60's and her dream is coming true. The school will be open soon.

One of my favorite quotes is "it is never too late to be what we might have been"...

Congratulations to Mrs. Weaver!!! You have been a great teacher to Cara!!!

Dream Big

If you look at this painting closely, you will see it is an abstract of an
angel releasing a butterfly.
If you were the butterfly in the picture and God was releasing you to be
or do anything you wanted, what would that be?
Maybe we should all think about that because that is what is happening. We all should take the time to figure out what we feel we are MEANT to do and then find a way to do it, even if it has to be part-time to start!!
DREAM BIG!!

Nourish Peace

I am behind in painting. I have two friends who I want to paint birthday paintings for and both birthdays were in December.

Sometimes, I want to paint something but my "God vision" isn't the same as my own personal vision. So, I sit and wait and wait and wait, until I give in an attempt to paint the picture I know is meant for the person because I paint from vision not from a place of comfort. It usual requires me painting something I think I can't paint. Then, somehow, I paint it anyway. All because I listen to the "God voice" the voice of peace...

This is what keeps going through my head for my friends painting. It does not mean I know the answers, I do not. I just write and hope it makes people feel happy.

Nourish Peace

It takes a lot of effort to have personal peace

What can you do to have that peace

for yourself

What are the things standing in the way

of this

for you

What can be let go

What else can you give

to God

Nourish peace

drink it in

like water

Embracing the Gifts of Light.....

After finally realizing I could not defeat depression on my own, I have hope and can paint again...
