Mama and Tootsie

All of my life my mother has told stories about "Tootsie" her bestest friend when she was a teenager in Howenwald, TN. They did everything together and had so much fun.

Recently, I helped my mother set up a Facebook account. Through social media, she was able to find her old friend. Tootsie (who now goes by Janie) was so happy to find Mama!

Janie visited recently and took my mother to lunch.

It sure is cool how they were able to reconnect after 70 years!

Happy Mother's Day!

I remember being so attached to my mother as a child. She would drop me off at my Mamaw's so she could run errands and I would stand at the door crying while Mamaw would say "what do you want for lunch"? I would say "I want my Mama" and she would say "now I can't put her on a sandwich"..

The main thing I remember about my Mom (from childhood)is, she was always my biggest supporter, my rock if I were sad and she was so funny! We laughed a LOT! We still laugh a LOT!
